Griffith Observatory Foundation is proud to present a special evening in celebration of Griffith Observatory’s 90th Anniversary, featuring distinguished guests from the Royal Observatory in London as they commemorate 350 years of astronomical discovery.
Please join us on Friday, October 24 at 7:00 pm for an exclusive gathering at Griffith Observatory. The evening will feature a presentation in the Leonard Nimoy Event Horizon theater by Paddy Rodgers, Director of Royal Museums Greenwich, representing the Royal Observatory. The presentation will be curated especially for this occasion and will be accompanied by brief introductory remarks from Dr. E.C. Krupp, Director of Griffith Observatory.
Following the program, you are welcome to explore exhibits, observe the night sky through the Observatory’s historic Zeiss telescope, and enjoy the views of Los Angeles.
We hope you’ll join us for this meaningful evening under the stars as we honor two landmark astronomical institutions and our shared commitment to sharing the wonders of the universe with everyone.
Advance registration is free and includes priority seating and easier access to the parking lot. Parking fees ($10/hour) still apply.
